MYS 2021 Fall Park and Rec League
by posted 08/30/2021

August 24, 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is my pleasure to welcome all of you to the 2021 Fall soccer season.  This years soccer season as with everything else going on with Covid-19 will be a little different than previous years. All age groups will be taking to the fields on Jamboree Day, September 11, 2021.  There will be individual and team photos this year. Our scheduling for Jamboree, will be spaced out so there are not as many people on the premises at the same time.

Our venue for Jamboree Day has changed!!! We will be holding the Jamboree at the Country Club Road fields this year.

Jamboree Schedule:

  • U6/U7 players arrive at fields at 8:00am sharp for team and individual pictures. Games begin at 9am. Please leave promptly after games so there is enough parking for the next group.
  • U9 players arrive at fields at 10:30am for team and individual pictures. Games begin at 11:15am.
  • C Division players arrive at fields at 12:15pm for team and individual pictures. Games begin at 1:00pm

We all look forward to a successful season.

To look up your child’s team, please visit the website, www.middletownsoccer.org. There you can select Team Info & Schedules/Choose a team/Recreational/Select age group and team. Here your can see coach’s name and phone number included on the roster.  If you have questions, call your coach.

The website holds a great deal of information that you may find of help.  It will be updated with any changes in schedules, coaches and weather cancellations, etc.

Practices for A & C Division start on Monday, August 30th.

Practices for U6, U7 and U9 start on Wednesday September 8th

Please note the following:

  1. Please park in the spaces within the CCR fields. Please do not park on the road.
  2. Opening day is Saturday, September 11th and will run as a Jamboree.
  3. Uniforms will be available for purchase on opening day.  (Please bring cash or check. NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED). Purchasing Uniforms will begin at 8:00am.
  4. Again, I hope for a successful season.  To achieve this, we must ask for your help.  Coaches need help with practices and phone trees.  PLEASE CONTACT YOUR COACH TO VOLUNTEER YOUR HELP!

Remember “Zero Tolerance” Policy signed by all parents at time of registration!

Most importantly, support your child and his/her team in a positive manner.  Encourage improvement, without emphasizing mistakes.  Remember that all coaches, players and referees are not perfect – neither are all fans!  Let’s cheer – not yell, let’s advise – not berate, and let’s all have fun!
